BECOME A MEMBER

Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of the Elmira-Corning Association of REALTORS®.  We are a 350+ member organization of professionals engaged in every aspect of the real estate industry and are governed by a Board of Directors.  Membership benefits include ongoing education, resources, and support services to enhance member’s professional development.

We have two categories of membership.  We have our REALTOR® members, who are licensed real estate Salespersons, Associate Brokers, Designated Brokers and licensed real estate Appraisers.  It should be noted that not all licensees are REALTORS®.  REALTOR® is a registered trademark that identifies a real estate professional who is a member of the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) and subscribes to a strict code of Ethics.  Our REALTOR® members belong to the New York State Association of REALTORS (NYSAR)  as well. 

Our membership also consists of Affiliate membersOur affiliate members are individuals or firms, who are not engaged in the real estate profession as a licensed broker, salesperson, or appraiser but have interests that relate to real estate or homeownership and share the same objectives of the Association.   Some examples of our affiliate membership are; home inspectors, lenders, home repair services, property management, insurance, legal etc.

The Elmira-Corning Association of REALTORS® also facilitates the Multiple Listing Service which is defined as a means of which one Participant makes a blanket unilateral offer of compensation to the other Participants and as a facility for the orderly correlation and dissemination of listing information among the Participants so that they may better serve their clients and the public.

REALTOR®/MLS MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION – Designated Brokers, Associate Brokers, Salespersons and Appraisers must complete this application to become a REALTOR® member of the ECRAR and or its MLS.  (If applying for MLS-only membership licensee must hold primary membership at another REALTOR® Association.)

REALTOR®/MLS OFFICE APPLICATION– This office application is to be used for a main office or branch office and is to be completed by the Principal Broker/Appraiser.  If the Principal Broker/Appraiser is not an existing member of ECRAR or its MLS then he/she must submit a REALTOR®/MLS Membership Application along with this this REALTOR®/MLS Office Application.

AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP - Use this application if your company has an interest in the real estate profession, such as a lender, home inspector, insurance agent, home service, advertisement company etc.  Click here for additional material regarding the benefits of Affiliate Membership.
