The Elmira-Corning Association of REALTORS® offers the Salespersons Qualifying Course approximately three times a year. Listed below are the dates the course is available.
Taking this course and passing the end of course exam qualifies the student to take the New York State Salespersons Exam. Passing the New York State exam qualifies the student to apply for a NYS Real Estate Salespersons License. Salespersons Qualifying Course
2008 SCHEDULE
Date: January 14th through February 26th, 2008
(there will be no class Feb. 4th, 5th, 7th or 18th)
Time: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings 6:00pm-9:00pm
Cost: $375.00 ($75 deposit + $300; includes tuition, textbook, study guide and amortization book)

(there will be no class May 8th, 12th, 13th, 15th)
Time: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 6:00pm-9:30pm

EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2008 THE NYS LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS WILL BE CHANGING.
The new law increases the required real estate salesperson qulaifying course hours from the current 45 hours to 75 hours, effective July 1, 2008.
We will be posting the 75 hour September Salesperson Course schedule and application as soon as it becomes available.
Please complete the application form and return to the Association Office with your non-refundable deposit of $75. Course reservation will be made upon receipt of your deposit and completed application.
In accordance with New York State License Law §176.6, students who miss one or more course module totaling more than 10 percent of the time prescribed for the course, will not receive credit for the course.
Students who fail to attend the required scheduled class hours may, at the discretion of the approved entity, make up the missed subject matter during subsequent classes presented by the approved entity. (Additional fees may apply.)
Final examinations may not be taken by any student who has not satisfied the attendance requirement.
